Terms of Service

1. What Colrnx is

Colrnx assesses engineers' public work, matches them to roles, and helps companies decide whom to interview. Scores, matches and recommendations are information to support a decision. They are not hiring decisions, and they are not a guarantee of anyone's ability or of a job.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person per candidate account. A company account is for the company named on it.

3. If you are a candidate

• Only connect a GitHub account that is yours, and only describe work you actually did. Misrepresenting your work or experience may get your account closed.
• Only give us a reference's details if that person has agreed to it. Colrnx does not contact references.
• You can disagree with an assessment of you and ask us to review it, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. If you use Colrnx for a company

• You make the hiring decisions. Use Colrnx's assessments as one input, and have a person review a candidate before rejecting them.
• You follow employment law. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your hiring, including anti-discrimination law and rules on automated hiring tools, such as New York City Local Law 144 and any requirement to tell candidates that such a tool is used. On request, we will give you the information about how Colrnx works that you reasonably need to do this.
• Only evaluate people you have a lawful reason to evaluate. When you add an engineer by GitHub username, you confirm you are considering them for a real role. Don't use Colrnx to build lists of people for any other purpose.
• Keep candidate data confidential. Use it only for recruiting at your company, don't sell or publish it, and don't try to contact references in ways the candidate didn't agree to.
• Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms and applies to personal data we process on your behalf.

5. Acceptable use

Don't:

• break the law, or use Colrnx to discriminate against anyone;
• scrape, copy in bulk, or resell data from Colrnx;
• try to manipulate scores, for example with fake repositories or commits;
• access other people's accounts, or probe, overload or attack our systems;
• post content on the feed that is unlawful, harassing, misleading or infringes someone else's rights.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post or upload. You give us permission to host, process and show it as needed to run Colrnx, for example showing your profile to companies or your post on the feed. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have already legitimately received.

7. Fees

Colrnx is free for candidates. Fees for companies are set out in your order or plan. [billing terms, if any]

8. Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we must for legal reasons. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Colrnx is provided “as is”. Scores depend on the public data available and may be incomplete; for example, private or company work doesn't appear on GitHub. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for hiring decisions made using Colrnx, and our total liability is limited to [liability cap]. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Colrnx.
